The Village of Croton-on-Hudson Residential Parking Permit system provides on-street parking for residents in the area surrounding the Croton-Harmon Train Station, specifically Young Avenue and Hastings Avenue, as well as areas near the Croton River, specifically Cedar Lane, Nordica Drive and Truesdale Drive.

The Board of Trustees sought state legislation authorizing the creation of an on-street parking permit system for residents, which legislation was adopted and codified in the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law as section 1640-q. The Residential Parking Permit system for Young Avenue and Hastings Avenue was enacted by the Village on December 20, 2021, through Local Law No. 15-2021. The Residential Parking Permit system for Cedar Lane, Nordica Drive and Truesdale Drive was enacted by the Village on June 12, 2024, through Local Law No. 9-2024.

The Residential Parking Permit Area consists of ONLY the following streets:
Hastings Avenue between Benedict Boulevard and Devon Avenue
Young Avenue between Oneida Avenue and Benedict Boulevard

Parking in the above areas Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., excluding holidays, is restricted to four hours in length, unless the vehicle displays a valid residential parking permit.

Cedar Lane between Truesdale Drive and Nordica Drive
Nordica Drive between Cedar Lane and a point 450 feet south of Cedar Lane
Truesdale Drive between Cedar Lane and its northerly terminus

Parking in the above areas on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. will be restricted, unless the vehicle displays a valid residential parking permit, once the new system goes into effect.

Visitor passes are available for the Croton River Area. The visitor parking passes are required Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. from Memorial Day to Labor Day starting 7/4/2024.
